New tenants at Rotherham’s Advanced Manufacturing Park
A global testing specialist and a French hi-tech company are the latest to move into Rotherham's Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) – the only one of its kind in the UK.
Exova has 30 years' experience of making the world a better and safer place through its testing and advisory services. Its services range from aircraft to cars, from food to pharmaceuticals and plastics. Headquartered in Edinburgh, it operates in 25 countries and employs over 3,500 people.
TEKS is a privately-owned French company involved in process design and the development of new clean technologies. It works closely with the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing (AMRC), also at the Park, on a number of European collaborative research projects.
The AMRC is itself the world's most advanced facility for materials cutting and assembly technology.
Both newcomers have moved into the AMP Technology Centre, which provides flexible serviced office and workshop accommodation and the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the world's most advanced and innovative manufacturing companies in the world.
These latest signings follow news that the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre will be based at the AMP, alongside the established AMRC Rolls-Royce Factory of the Future, a global centre of excellence for manufacturing technologies for aerospace and other hi-tech industries.
The AMP is in Rotherham's Waverley area, just off M1 Junction 33. Its development opportunities range from small office, workshop and lab space, through medium-sized hybrid and light industrial units to larger custom-built design and build options.
